It was Nate Smith, one of our charter committee members, who suggested the town of Blaine donate the former Grange building next to the Town Office to the Historical Society.  He championed this idea with the Board of Selectmen and the town voters.  The building now belongs to the Historical Society.  There are life safety issues mostly in the entry area which a representative of the Maine Fire Marshall's office indicated we need to correct.  At this time materials we collect are being stored at the building but most meetings are not held there.
